醛固酮(Aldosterone)是一种由肾上腺皮质中的胆固醇合成的类固醇激素。醛固酮在肾脏和肝脏中代谢,并作为控制钠钾平衡的关键盐皮质激素发挥作用。肾上腺合成和释放醛固酮主要受肾素-血管紧张素-醛固酮系统(RAAS)的调节,RAAS主要作用是调节和维持血压、水电解质平衡和维持人体内环境稳态。检测血清醛固酮和血浆肾素在临床上用于区分原发性和继发性醛固酮增多症。原发性醛固酮增多症(醛固酮增多症)的特征是肾素与醛固酮比率非常低,导致钠滞留和血压升高,通常是肾腺增生或肿瘤的结果。在继发性醛固酮增多症中,醛固酮的过量产生是由心力衰竭和肾动脉疾病等外部条件引起的。
